This trip was mainly for my husband; I just wanted the days to be easy for everyone. The itinerary worked better than trying to arrange local transport on our own. We stopped at a normal local restaurant for lunch and it was better than expected. My parents were emotional after the darshan, which made the whole journey special for us. We returned with good memories, which was what we wanted.

The itinerary gives enough variety between temple visits, mountain drives and trekking. It felt more like a complete pilgrimage than just point-to-point sightseeing.
