Fare & confirmation

The helicopter ticket fare is not included in the displayed package price and is payable separately. The final fare will depend on the travel date, seat availability and the approved operator applicable to the booking. Taxes, convenience fees or booking charges may apply as per the booking platform or operator. Any fare revision applicable before ticket issuance will be payable by the traveller. A helicopter seat should be considered confirmed only after written booking or ticket confirmation has been issued.

Reporting & ID

The final reporting time and boarding instructions will be provided on the confirmed helicopter ticket. Passengers should report at the designated helipad within the prescribed schedule and carry an original government-issued photo ID matching the passenger details submitted during booking. Passenger verification and weight checking may be carried out before boarding. Late reporting may affect boarding eligibility or be treated as a no-show under the applicable operator policy. Flight sequence and reporting arrangements may also change according to operational requirements.

Baggage & weight

Passengers should carry only a small and manageable soft bag for the Kedarnath helicopter journey and avoid suitcases or bulky luggage. Baggage acceptance depends on the aircraft and the confirmed operator's applicable rules. Excess or oversized baggage may not be accepted and may need to be left at the ground location before boarding. Applicable baggage allowance must be checked on the confirmed operator ticket. Passengers may also be required to provide accurate body-weight information for manifest preparation and flight operations.

Ground transfer

The planned itinerary includes a road transfer from Guptkashi to Phata Helipad for the Kedarnath flight and a return transfer from Phata to Guptkashi after the helicopter journey. If the assigned helipad or operational arrangement changes, the corresponding transfer arrangement and pickup time should be reconfirmed in the final written itinerary. Any additional transfer arising from an operational diversion or unplanned helipad change may be chargeable separately unless specifically included in the booking confirmation.

Weather disruption

Helicopter operations to Kedarnath are subject to weather, visibility, aviation conditions, aircraft availability, technical requirements and necessary operational clearances. The operational decision of the helicopter operator, pilot and competent authorities will be final. Flights may be delayed, rescheduled, diverted or cancelled, and same-day operation cannot be guaranteed. Such changes may affect Kedarnath darshan timing, ground transfers and the onward tour programme. Travellers should therefore maintain reasonable flexibility in their itinerary. Any additional hotel, transport or missed-service implications arising from weather or operational disruption will be handled according to the applicable booking terms. Safety and regulatory requirements will take priority over the planned schedule.

Refund handling

Refund eligibility will depend on the conditions applicable to the confirmed helicopter booking. Operator cancellation, weather or operational cancellation, traveller-initiated cancellation, late reporting, no-show, incorrect passenger details, identification or weight-verification issues may each attract different conditions. Partial flight operation, sector changes and supplier deductions may also affect the refundable amount. Any eligible refund will be calculated according to the confirmed operator's applicable policy after reconciliation and receipt of the refundable amount from the service provider. Taxes, convenience charges or third-party deductions should not be treated as refundable unless specifically confirmed under the applicable ticket conditions.

Child policy

Child travel is subject to the rules of the confirmed helicopter operator. Age proof or an acceptable identity document may be required during booking or passenger verification. Infant or child fare, seat entitlement and other applicable conditions will be determined by the operator. Children should travel with a parent or responsible guardian. Child weight may also be recorded for preparation of the passenger manifest. The applicable child policy should be verified before final ticket confirmation.

Helicopter service reduces the main trek requirement, but walking, waiting time, altitude exposure and local transfers may still be involved.
