The spiritual stops felt more meaningful because the plan did not keep pushing us forward. We spent less time shopping and more time at the places we had actually come to see. We came back happy with the trip. My mother was more comfortable than I expected on the longer drive.
I was travelling with my brother and his family, so I was watching the pace and comfort closely. The itinerary worked better than trying to arrange local transport on our own. The trip was good overall; just a little more advance timing information would help.
