We did not feel that places were added just to make the itinerary look bigger. The day started on time and the route was handled sensibly. We came back happy with the trip. We also appreciated being able to take an extra tea break when my parents needed it.
The trip was booked mostly for my parents, and I joined them. My father appreciated a tea stop in the middle of the drive. The quieter viewpoints were our favourite part of the trip. We returned with good memories, which was what we wanted.
