Compare the available summer holiday packages by destination coverage, number of nights and starting city. Review each overnight stop and daily journey rather than choosing solely by the starting price. Hotel category, vehicle allocation and meal plan can change the final quote.
Allow for the journey to your pickup point as well as the tour itself. A longer list of destinations can mean more time in the vehicle; compare overnight stops and daily travel before booking.
When to travel
The right travel dates depend on the destinations and activities in your chosen itinerary. Ask about local weather, route access, operating days and hotel availability for those dates.
Confirm the operating dates, local access and availability for your chosen itinerary before making non-refundable travel arrangements.
Check what your quote includes
Compare the hotel category, room sharing, meal plan, vehicle and included sightseeing. Entry tickets, permits, optional activities and special transfers may be charged separately. The written quote and package exclusions should make these clear.

We chose the Himachal Panorama Escape Tour after checking whether it included the hill circuit and the mountain sightseeing. It did, and the trip stayed fairly close to the stated route. The overall planning was practical, especially because the day-wise route was practical for the time we had. We were satisfied overall, though first-time travellers would benefit from clearer notes on the longer travel sections.

One day traffic delayed us, but it did not spoil the sightseeing. No major complaint from our side. The driver suggested starting one day earlier than planned, and it helped us avoid the crowd.

The scenic stops between towns were as enjoyable as the main sightseeing. Nothing major went wrong, though a little more proactive communication would improve the service. We skipped one minor stop and used that time to rest, which suited our group better.

I was travelling with my parents and two kids, so I was watching the pace and comfort closely. The order of stops made sense and avoided unnecessary backtracking. We returned with good memories, which was what we wanted.
