I chose this itinerary because three college friends were joining and I did not want an overpacked schedule. The scenic stops between towns were as enjoyable as the main sightseeing. We stopped at a normal local restaurant for lunch and it was better than expected. The car was neat and the AC worked well on the warmer parts of the trip. A short WhatsApp update every evening would make the next morning easier.
