We liked that the important places were covered without turning the day into a race. We kept some time for an evening walk instead of doing nonstop sightseeing. One small suggestion: mention the longer driving days more clearly before departure.
It was my first time on this route and I was with three college friends. We changed one small stop during the trip and it was handled without any fuss. The scenic stops between towns were as enjoyable as the main sightseeing. We came back happy with the trip.
