We liked that the important places were covered without turning the day into a race. We kept some time for an evening walk instead of doing nonstop sightseeing. The trip did what it was supposed to do without unnecessary hassle. My mother was more comfortable than I expected on the longer drive.
I chose this itinerary because two senior family members were joining and I did not want an overpacked schedule. We enjoyed the viewpoints more than the crowded market areas. We returned with good memories, which was what we wanted.
