One small suggestion: share the next day's start time a little earlier. My mother was more comfortable than I expected on the longer drive.
After a long gap, we finally managed a birthday trip for my mother with my sister and parents. One hotel check-in took a little time, but the rest of the trip was smooth. The route was covered, but there is room to improve communication and daily timing.

We liked having time to just sit with tea and enjoy the weather. We came back happy with the trip. We kept one evening free instead of adding more sightseeing, and that was a good decision.
