We kept some time for an evening walk instead of doing nonstop sightseeing. We had rain for part of the day and the plan was adjusted reasonably. The journey went well, with a few small coordination points that can be improved.
I was travelling with our family of four, so I was watching the pace and comfort closely. We did not feel that places were added just to make the itinerary look bigger. The trip worked, but I would expect faster updates when timings change.
