We started early for the temple and avoided the worst of the crowd. One small suggestion: mention the longer driving days more clearly before departure. We kept one evening free instead of adding more sightseeing, and that was a good decision.

Our group was our family of four, so timing and breaks mattered more than covering extra places. The itinerary worked better than trying to arrange local transport on our own. The ghat area had a very different atmosphere in the morning and evening. The vehicle was comfortable enough for the distance we covered. No major complaint from our side. One thing I liked was that nobody objected when we asked to slow the day down a little.
