We stopped at a normal local restaurant for lunch and it was better than expected. Traffic was heavy near one town, but the rest of the day was relaxed. We enjoyed the trip and would only suggest more detail about the longer travel days.

The children liked the cooler weather and the open spaces. One small suggestion: mention the longer driving days more clearly before departure. One thing that worked well was that the day-wise route was practical for the time we had. A short evening WhatsApp update would make the next morning easier for families.
