We kept one evening light and just walked around nearby instead of adding more sightseeing. The order of stops made sense and avoided unnecessary backtracking. We returned with good memories, which was what we wanted.

There was no confusion about the main route or overnight stops. My parents needed an extra break after lunch and the driver was fine with it.
