We also felt that the day-wise route was practical for the time we had. The main places were covered, although a couple of travel days felt less organised than expected.

The schedule had enough structure without making every hour feel fixed. Good experience overall, but families with elders would benefit from clearer timing notes. I chose this itinerary because two friends were joining and I did not want an overpacked schedule. Road travel took time, but the driver was patient about tea and washroom breaks. The longer travel days were balanced with lighter sightseeing where possible. The heritage sites were the reason we booked this route, and they did not disappoint. One small suggestion: send a short evening update when the following day starts early. My mother was more comfortable than I expected on the longer drive.
