I chose this itinerary because my parents were joining and I did not want an overpacked schedule. The car was neat and the AC worked well on the warmer parts of the trip. The scenic stops between towns were as enjoyable as the main sightseeing. The order of stops made sense and avoided unnecessary backtracking. We returned with good memories, which was what we wanted. One thing I liked was that nobody objected when we asked to slow the day down a little.
