I was travelling with my brother and his family, so I was watching the pace and comfort closely. The itinerary worked better than trying to arrange local transport on our own. My parents needed an extra break after lunch and the driver was fine with it. It was a good, straightforward experience. My mother was more comfortable than I expected on the longer drive.
