We had been talking about this trip for a while, so I finally went with a small family group. The schedule had enough structure without making every hour feel fixed. Pickup was on time and we did not have to keep calling for the vehicle. My parents preferred the temple visits while I enjoyed the heritage side of the route. One small suggestion: mention the longer driving days more clearly before departure.
We planned this as a relaxed holiday, and I was travelling with two friends. We stopped at a normal local restaurant for lunch and it was better than expected. For our family, the arrangements worked well.

We had limited days, and my cousins were travelling with me. The vehicle was comfortable enough for the distance we covered. The ghat area had a very different atmosphere in the morning and evening. We spent less time shopping and more time at the places we had actually come to see. We returned with good memories, which was what we wanted. One thing I liked was that nobody objected when we asked to slow the day down a little.

I was travelling with my husband and our daughter, so I was watching the pace and comfort closely. Our driver was polite and drove steadily, especially on the longer stretches. A short WhatsApp update every evening would make the next morning easier.
