It was my first time on this route and I was with my wife. The hotel was simple, but the room was clean and that was enough for us. The city-to-city drive was long, but the next day's sightseeing was not overloaded. The driving felt safe and there was no unnecessary speeding. After a long gap, we finally managed a school-holiday trip with two senior family members. Pickup was on time and we did not have to keep calling for the vehicle. Most of the timings matched what had been discussed before departure. The heritage sites were the reason we booked this route, and they did not disappoint. One small suggestion: give slightly clearer information when traffic or weather changes the plan. We also appreciated being able to take an extra tea break when my parents needed it.
I travelled with a small family group for a relaxed holiday. We changed one small stop during the trip and it was handled without any fuss. I would recommend the itinerary to families who prefer a relaxed pace.
