It was my first time on this route and I was with my husband and our daughter. The hill drive itself was one of the nicest parts of the trip. We got enough breaks on the road, which mattered because elders were travelling with us. The longer travel days were balanced with lighter sightseeing where possible. No major complaint from our side.

We preferred a slower pace and that was respected. Good experience overall, but families with elders would benefit from clearer timing notes.
