We also appreciated being able to take an extra tea break when my parents needed it.
We planned this as a school-holiday trip, and I was travelling with my father and younger brother. There was no confusion about the main route or overnight stops. One small suggestion: send a short evening update when the following day starts early.
We joined from another city and were a little unsure about coordination, especially with my wife. Even when traffic slowed us down, the driver stayed calm and adjusted the plan. Happy with how the journey was handled.

The children liked the cooler weather and the open spaces. The schedule had enough structure without making every hour feel fixed.
