Frequently Asked Questions

The package is designed to cover the main highlights of Shimla and Manali within five days. Depending on the selected package category, it can include hotel accommodation, breakfast and/or dinner, a private vehicle for transfers and sightseeing, Delhi pickup and drop, Shimla sightseeing, Kufri excursion, Manali local sightseeing and a Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel excursion. Exact meals, hotel category and vehicle type should always be checked in the final quotation because inclusions can vary according to the package selected.
The usual itinerary starts with a road journey from Delhi to Shimla on Day 1. Day 2 covers Kufri and Shimla sightseeing. On Day 3, guests travel from Shimla to Manali through the scenic Himachal route. Day 4 is planned for Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel and Manali local sightseeing, subject to road conditions. On Day 5, guests check out from Manali and return to Delhi. The package generally includes two nights in Shimla and two nights in Manali.
Yes, 4 Nights 5 Days is suitable for travellers who want to cover the major attractions of both Shimla and Manali in a limited period. It allows two nights in Shimla and two nights in Manali, with time for Kufri, Shimla local sightseeing, Solang Valley and important Manali attractions. However, it is a relatively fast-paced itinerary because the Shimla to Manali and Manali to Delhi journeys are long. Travellers wanting a more relaxed holiday can consider adding one or two extra nights.
The Shimla portion normally covers Kufri along with popular attractions such as Jakhoo Temple, The Ridge, Mall Road, Scandal Point and other nearby sightseeing points depending on available time. Kufri is generally planned as a day excursion from Shimla. Some attractions may require walking because vehicles are restricted in parts of central Shimla, especially around Mall Road and The Ridge.
Yes. Kufri is included as one of the main sightseeing attractions during the Shimla stay. It is known for mountain views, surrounding forests and seasonal snow experiences. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions and participate in activities such as horse riding or snow activities depending on the season. Activity charges, horse rides and equipment rentals are normally payable directly unless specifically included in the quotation.
The Manali sightseeing plan can include Hadimba Devi Temple, Vashisht Temple and hot water springs, Van Vihar, Tibetan Monastery, Club House and Mall Road. The package also includes an excursion towards Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel subject to weather and road conditions. The exact order of sightseeing may be adjusted depending on traffic, weather and the time available on the day.
Yes. Solang Valley is one of the main attractions planned during the Manali portion of this itinerary. It is popular for mountain scenery, snow experiences during suitable months and adventure activities such as paragliding, skiing, ATV rides and ropeway rides. Adventure activities are generally optional and are not included in the basic package price unless specifically mentioned in the quotation.
Atal Tunnel can be covered along with the Solang Valley excursion when the road is open and local conditions permit travel. During heavy snowfall, bad weather, maintenance work or traffic restrictions, access may be temporarily controlled by local authorities. Therefore, Atal Tunnel sightseeing should always be considered subject to weather and road conditions rather than guaranteed regardless of circumstances.
Sissu can often be combined with Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel when the road beyond the tunnel is open and sufficient time is available. However, the visit depends on weather, traffic and road conditions. During periods of heavy snowfall or local restrictions, the route may be closed. If Sissu is important to your trip, mention it when requesting the quotation so it can be clearly included in the planned itinerary.
Rohtang Pass is not automatically included in the standard itinerary. Access to Rohtang Pass is seasonal and depends on opening dates, weather conditions, government regulations and permit availability. Local vehicle regulations and additional charges may also apply. Travellers specifically interested in Rohtang Pass should request it separately while planning the tour. Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel are normally easier to combine with the standard Manali sightseeing plan.
March to June is suitable for pleasant weather, family holidays and general sightseeing. October and November are comparatively quieter and offer comfortable mountain weather. Travellers looking for winter scenery and a chance of snow generally prefer December to February, especially around Kufri and higher areas near Manali. Snowfall cannot be guaranteed on a particular date because it depends entirely on weather conditions.
The chances of snow are usually higher during the winter months, particularly from late December through February in higher-altitude areas such as Kufri and Solang Valley. However, snowfall is a natural weather event and cannot be guaranteed for a specific travel date. Even when there is no fresh snowfall in Shimla or Manali town, snow may sometimes be available at higher-altitude sightseeing points depending on current conditions.
Yes. Shimla and Manali are popular family destinations and this itinerary includes a mix of nature, sightseeing, shopping and optional activities. Children may particularly enjoy Kufri, Solang Valley, Mall Road and snow activities during winter. Families travelling with very young children should consider the long driving hours between destinations and carry warm clothing, snacks, water and any essential medicines required during the journey.
Yes, senior citizens can travel on this tour, but the long road journeys should be considered before booking. Shimla to Manali can take most of the day, while the return journey from Manali to Delhi is also long. Some sightseeing locations have slopes, stairs or walking areas. Families travelling with senior citizens can request additional breaks, a comfortable vehicle and a slower itinerary if required.
The road journey from Delhi to Shimla generally requires around 7 to 9 hours, although the actual travel time depends on the pickup location, traffic, road conditions and meal stops. Travel time may increase during weekends, holidays, peak summer periods or winter weather. An early morning departure from Delhi is usually preferable so guests can reach Shimla with enough time to check in and rest.
Shimla to Manali is a full-day road journey and normally takes approximately 8 to 10 hours depending on traffic, road conditions and stops. The route passes through scenic mountain landscapes and areas around Bilaspur, Mandi and Kullu. Because much of the day is spent travelling, heavy sightseeing should not be planned on the same day. Short meal, photography or comfort stops can be taken along the route.
The Manali to Delhi journey normally takes around 11 to 13 hours by road, depending on traffic, weather, road conditions and the final drop location in Delhi. It is therefore important to keep sufficient buffer time if you have a flight or train scheduled after arrival. For early flights or trains, an additional night in Delhi may be more comfortable than planning a tight connection after the long hill journey.
The vehicle should be selected according to the number of passengers and luggage. A sedan can be suitable for a small family with limited luggage, while an SUV such as an Ertiga or Innova offers more space and comfort for larger families. Tempo Travellers are suitable for bigger groups. Because this itinerary includes long hill journeys, luggage space and passenger comfort should be considered along with the seating capacity when selecting the vehicle.
Yes. The itinerary can be customised before booking depending on the number of travellers, travel dates, hotel preference and available time. Extra destinations such as Naldehra, Chail, Naggar, Manikaran or additional Manali sightseeing can be considered by adding time where required. Trying to add too many places to a 5-day itinerary can make the journey tiring, so major additions may require an extra night.
No, adventure activities are not included unless they are specifically mentioned in your quotation. Paragliding, skiing, snow scooter rides, ATV rides, ropeway tickets and similar activities are usually booked and paid for separately. Availability and prices may change according to season and local conditions. Travellers should also follow the instructions and safety requirements of the authorised activity operator before participating.
Entry tickets, ropeway charges, horse or pony rides, snow equipment rental and adventure activity charges are normally not part of the standard package unless specifically mentioned under inclusions. Guests should keep some additional budget for these activities. Before confirming the tour, always check the final inclusion and exclusion list so there is no confusion about services payable directly at the destination.
Private tourist vehicles are restricted from entering certain pedestrian areas of Mall Road. The vehicle will normally drop guests at the nearest permitted parking or drop point, after which some walking may be required. This is particularly important for senior citizens, families travelling with small children and guests carrying heavy bags. Local lifts, ropeways or other local transport options may be available at some locations at an additional cost.
Mountain sightseeing depends on weather, road safety and instructions from local authorities. If a planned area becomes inaccessible because of heavy snowfall, landslides, road blockage or government restrictions, the driver and tour team will try to cover another suitable sightseeing point where possible. However, an exact alternative cannot always be guaranteed because conditions can change quickly in mountain regions.
Carry comfortable footwear, seasonal clothing, personal medicines, sunscreen, sunglasses, basic toiletries and a government-issued photo ID. During winter, thermals, a heavy jacket, woollen cap, gloves and warm socks are recommended. In summer, light woollens are still useful for cool mornings and evenings. During the monsoon, carry an umbrella or raincoat. Snow suits and boots can usually be rented near snow sightseeing areas.
No, flight or train tickets to and from Delhi are normally not included unless specifically added to the quotation. The standard package starts with pickup from the agreed point in Delhi and ends with drop at the agreed Delhi location. Guests travelling by flight or train should share arrival and departure details before final confirmation so pickup and drop timings can be planned correctly.
A 50% advance payment is required to proceed with the booking. The remaining balance should be paid at least 5 days before the arrival date. Hotels, rooms, vehicles and other services are subject to availability until the advance payment is received and the booking is confirmed. Final booking details should be checked in the confirmation voucher issued after payment and service confirmation.
